○ To facilitate the domestic supply of filtering respirators and surgical masks, the MFDS has streamlined the import clearance procedure.
- In the past, the importation of filtering respirators and surgical masks required the import approval of the MFDS, and Customs clearance audit and product inspection of the customs office. As of Mar. 9, the import requirements verification has been exempted and Customs clearance audit has been minimized for filtering respirators and surgical masks imported for the purpose of relief, donation, and distribution to employees by companies, which would facilitate rapid import of them.
- In addition, the MFDS will expedite the import approval process of filtering respirators and surgical masks for commercial sales to increase the domestic supply of them.
