○ The MFDS has gradually eased the restriction on the proxy purchase of filtering respirators for the disabled, children, and the elderly, among others, to ensure improved access to filtering respirators. The proxy purchase of filtering respirators is allowed in the following cases:

- (as of Mar. 6) For the disabled;

- (as of Mar. 8) For children born after 2010 and the elderly born before 1940;

- (as of Mar. 23) For pregnant women and the wounded persons of distinguished services to the state;

- (as of Apr. 5) For 4th to 6th graders, middle and high school students, patients hospitalized at regular hospitals or nursing homes;

- (as of Apr. 20) For cohabitants indicated on the resident registration certificate or family members identifiable through the Family Relation Certificate;

- (as of Apr. 27) Formerly, proxy purchasers had to make an extra visit to a public retailer selling publicly supplied filtering respirators on another weekday, where the designated day for a proxy purchaser was different from that of the recipient. Starting from Apr. 27, an individual can purchase filtering respirators for oneself and for others all at one visit on any one of the corresponding weekdays.
