Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue, has today published the Action Plan for implementation by his department in 2022.
The Action Plan sets out the 130 actions that his department has committed to deliver in 2022 to progress the commitments made in its Statement of Strategy 2021-2024.
Commenting on the Action Plan the Minister said:
“This Action Plan for 2022 sets out the ambitious plan of action for my department this year across the entire range of its activities. The actions in this Action Plan, which are already underway, build on the work done and projects delivered under Action Plan 2021 which was the first Action Plan released under my department's Statement of Strategy 2021-2024. The actions range from plans to progress Food Vision 2030, implement the new CAP Strategic Plan and to deliver on our commitments in the Forestry and Marine sectors. The focus of our work is building a resilient, exciting and futureproofed sector our farmers, fishers and producers as well as the wider general public. The agri, food, fishing and forestry sectors play a critical role in a balanced economy as well as providing the bedrock for a multi-billion sector that feeds so many people at home and internationally.”
