○ Although the exportation of filtering respirators and surgical masks is prohibited in principle, it is allowed in exceptional cases, including relief supplies, as deemed necessary by the MFDS.

- The MFDS has allowed sending filtering respirators to lineal ascendants and descendants, spouse, daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws, and siblings residing abroad and soldiers deployed overseas. (Apr. 24)

○ The MFDS will expand the supply of filtering respirators in humanitarian aid to help the world overcome the global spread of COVID-19 and display the high quality of the filtering respirators manufactured in Korea.

- The MFDS will provide filtering respirators in cases where the damage due to COVID-19 is extensive and respirator supplies are urgently needed due to poor health care system and insufficient disease control capabilities, and where it is necessary, considering Korea’s diplomatic and security needs.
