Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS, Minister Yu-Kyoung Oh) is holding the 6th MFDS Global Conference on Foodborne Antimicrobial Resistance (GCFA) on May 13 to 14 under the theme, “A New Horizon for Foodborne AMR* Response: Building Big Data and Innovating Global Food Safety Management," in Seoul.
* AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance): A phenomenon in which bacteria survive and continue to grow despite the effects of antibiotics. Misuse or overuse of antibiotics in humans and animals can lead to AMR.
