[Press Release] Korea Leads the World’s First International Guideline on the Assessment of Abuse and Dependence Potential of New Psychoactive Substances

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), has developed the world’s first international guideline providing scientific criteria to assess the abuse and dependence potential of new psychoactive substances.
The guideline was published on December 16 and distributed in both Korean and English to more than 90 countries worldwide.
