□ Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(MFDS) holds virtuathe 1st MFDS Global Conference on Foodborne Antimicrobial Resistance (GCFA) from September 6(Mon) to 8(Wed) in an effort to ramp up international cooperation for managing foodborne antimicrobial resistance(AMR).

○ It is the first conference held by the Republic of Korea as the Chair of Ad-hoc Codex Intergovernmental Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance (TFAMR) and it is expected to serve as a platform for sharing policies on AMR management and the necessity of implementing international standards that will be set by TFAMR and the importance of strengthening international cooperation.

□ MFDS expects that this conference will provide a forum for countries around the world to share various information and ideas on how to manage foodborne AMR, and will make its utmost efforts to play a pivotal role in strengthening global cooperation by working closely with international organizations in diversified ways.
